OMG. IT'S ALMOST OVER!! one more paper, just one more to go!! and yet, i have lost the mood to study for it! ahhhhh. shite man! i wasnt exactly nervous for today's lit paper on bnw and other worlds, but boy when the owl came to check my lit text, my heart started pounding like crazy. i guess its cause during mid years, the indian woman threatened to confiscate my lit text cause i didnt erase the notes that i've scribbled down during lessons. this time, i erased everything already and yet, i still cant help but have the fear that the owl would confiscate my lit text and leave me to die. i'm just being paranoid, but i cant help it. haha when she left and didnt confiscate my lit text (like duh), i whispered "thank you, jesus" five times. i know la, i'm very weird. haha!
anyway i really really should start studying history but i just dont feel like it! instead, i was watching the tyra show on youtube. i used to hate tyra banks, i associated her with a barbie doll who is an airhead. but after watching her show, i realised that she's not exactly an airhead. she has this series concerning Race on her show, they talked abt asian plastic surgery, inter-racial relationships, stereotyping of skin color, etc. when it came to the plastic surgery, she interviewed this pretty korean girl who went to make her eyelids bigger. i dont know why, but tyra kept insisting that the girl wanted double eyelids cause she wanted to be caucasian. when i heard that, i was like wth. the girl tried to explain herself that it wasnt the case, she said she wanted double eye lids to cure the problem of her sagging eyes. but stupid tyra kept insisting that she underwent the surgery to look caucasian. GEEZ. some people are just so stubborn and fail to view things in other people's perspectives, those ppl really bug me at times.
anyway on inter-racial relationships, she interviewed this hindu girl who ran away from home and married this african american muslim. i felt quite touched by their story, they make such a sweet couple! shame on her parents for disowning her. i know i'm racist against bangla MEN and wish that they die, but after watching the tyra show, i'll try to change my attitude towards banglas. they're human afterall, just with a different skin color. their skin color isnt what defines who they are, its whats on the inside that counts. i shall try my VERY BEST to look past that. BUT, if they try to harrass me again, then sorry, i'll continue hating them. HAHA
ok i really should start studying now. i'll be back soon, hopefully with good news! haha
